Brett G. Wilmot
With over 20 years of institutional relationship management experience, Mr. Wilmot’s expertise lies at the intersection of finance and the law.
Mr. Wilmot derives his expertise from experience working for law firms, banking institutions, class action settlement administrators, Fortune 500 companies and multi-billion dollar institutional investment managers. His roles have included business development, sales, marketing, consulting, finance, lending, investment research, product development and management and financial analysis.
Using a diverse background in investment management, institutional sales and relationship management in the public and Taft-Hartley pension fund market, and B2B sales in the class action legal industry, Mr. Wilmot provides a consultative, solutions-based approach to his clients.
Mr. Wilmot worked with a $50 billion financial institution providing traditional banking services to plaintiffs law firms operating in class action and mass tort practice areas. He also held diverse roles at two prominent plaintiffs class action law firms focusing on institutional investor client development and new case generation. As a self-taught Bloomberg terminal power-user, Mr. Wilmot created and instituted proprietary portfolio monitoring solutions for institutional investors seeking recovery from securities fraud damages. He has extensive experience with calculations of client losses and recoverable damages according to PSLRA guidelines. He also spent several years early in his career as an investment and research analyst for a multi-billion Registered Investment Advisor.
Mr. Wilmot has provided private business brokerage services to companies and owners seeking an exit from their business. Services include business consultancy, valuation, marketing and transaction management through closing.
Brett graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in statistics. At Michigan, he was a Big Ten Champion and NCAA All-American diver for the Michigan Men’s Swimming & Diving team. As a 2-time member of the U.S. Men’s National Diving Team, Brett also participated in the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials.
Brett lives in Broomfield, CO with his wife Allison and their two children, Cooper and Griffin. You can find them on the weekends playing in the mountains, hiking, rock climbing, skiing and enjoying life to the fullest.
